Portable Interface Box Eliminates PC Cards

If you want to eliminate the PC interface card that connects encoders to industrial PC or laptop, HEIDENHAIN has an alternative to consider. The EIB 742 external interface box connects a maximum of four HEIDENHAIN encoders, either with sinusoidal incremental signals (1Vpp) or with EnDat interfaces (EnDat 2.1 and EnDat 2.1). Certified to UL 61010-1 and CSA 61010-1 standards, a standard Ethernet interface using TCP/IP or UDP communication is standard for data output of the interface box permitting the direct connection to a PC or laptop.
